 Our old ECG was just that, really old and we felt it was time to invest in new technology. That was when we started our journey and we were not clear on what to look for. We wanted 12 lead but didn't want a device that just produced paper reports as we are paperless (almost). We trialled one of Numed's competitors ECG systems which some practices seemed to be using only to find it did not integrate with SystmOne. We were led to believe that it did which was disappointing.

Full integration with our clinical system was a key point in our decision to purchase the CardioSoft interpretative ECG system from Numed. It is so simple to use, and records automatically to SystmOne which is a big bonus. CardioSoft reduces the time it takes to set up an ECG test because the patient details are pulled directly from SystmOne. It records a very high quality ECG with the help of the 'Hook Up Advisor' facility and files it (as a PDF file) effortlessly to the medical record complete with an ‘ECG Done’ Read code. Filing in this way allows the GP to view the ECG from his own surgery if the nurse wants advice immediately after the test.
We are very pleased. Our nursing and HCA team have fed back nothing but praise! There is no doubt our patients are happier as well. They have commented on how it speeds up what is for many an undignified time lying there undressed! I did give them a hard job over the price but I have to now conclude it has been worth it!
