Background

As part of their Long Term Conditions Plan, Greenwich GPPNs needed to provide a spirometry service for patients. Funding was therefore allocated to all Practices in Greenwich to purchase a new Spirometer.

Approach

Greenwich GPPNs needed an effective solution that would increase accuracy whilst drastically reducing admin time and hospital referrals, providing a better experience for patients whilst reducing the strain on healthcare services.
Numed recommended SpiroConnect’s PC-based spirometer equipment due to it’s accurate readings, smart use of automation and ease of use.

SpiroConnect’s integration software automatically uploads patient details into the spirometry software, and at the end of the test, files a high-quality PDF spirometry report and all relevant spirometry, Asthma, COPD and SpO2 Read codes directly into the correct patient’s medical record.

In doing so, SpiroConnect’s technology both reduces admin time and scope for human error when copying and uploading patient test results, as well as boosting patient understanding of readings.
