Each individually wrapped package contains a disposable bacterial/viral filter and nose clip for the prevention of cross-contamination during lung function tests. Designed to allow the patient to blow directly through the end of the filter, rather than having to add an additional cardboard mouthpiece.
Bacterial/viral filters are the most practical and cost-effective way of ensuring that there is no risk of cross-infection between patients during spirometry testing. They are over 99.99% efficient at filtering out of bacteria and viruses.
