ABPM

Numed Healthcare supply and support a range of 24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors (ABPMs) from leading brands such as IEM and Microlife. A number of our ABPM monitors are fully integrated with the EMIS, TPP SystmOne and Vision NHS GP clinical systems and are effective at monitoring blood pressure for up to 48 hours.

Our ABPMs are suitable for use in a range of clinical environments, including by GP practices, as part of a primary care network (PCN) diagnostic testing service and in a community pharmacy.

One of our most popular ABPMs is the IEM Mobil-O-Graph 24 Hour ABPM. Fully integrated with EMIS, TPP SystmOne and Vision, it increases patient safety and saves the healthcare professional precious time. After the test is complete, the i3 software files a high-quality Ambulatory Blood Pressure report to the patient's record automatically.

FAQs

What is 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring?

24-hour ABPM is a test to measure blood pressure, whilst a patient moves around and lives their everyday life. The small device is attached to the patient for 24 hours, allowing them to continue with normal life, including sleeping.

Why might I need a 24-hour ABPM?

Monitoring over 24 hours at intervals, allows the healthcare professional to see an overall picture of how blood pressure changes throughout the day and night.

You may need a 24-hour ABPM test:

To check you aren’t experiencing ‘the white coat effect’ and blood pressure is only higher in the clinic/surgery.

To monitor how medication is affecting blood pressure throughout the day.

“The staff are very quick to help in any way they can. Very quick service. The ECG and ABPM are very easy to use. Would recommend these to anyone.”
